We invite you to take part in a training session that gives you the opportunity to practise Viking AMHE combat using the Herja rules.
Over the course of two days, we'll be offering a range of individual workshops to help you discover or improve your handling of different weapons, as well as group exercises to help you progress in group work.
The aim of these days is to raise the level of the fighters so that each edition of Herja becomes even more challenging and even better!
Everyone is welcome on these 2 days as long as they respect our rules of combat, which can be found on this website.
There's no level required, so beginners and experienced fighters alike are welcome to join us.
Even if you can't make it to the main Herja event, don't hesitate to come and train with us over the weekend!
Unlike the main event at the end of August, we're not imposing historical clothing for Herja Modern Wafare Training!
So you can spend the whole weekend in modern clothes.
Note that training will take place outdoors, whether the weather is fine or not.
Subscriptions for 2026 are not yet open!
Date : April 26 and 27, 2025.
Location: Foyer du Porteau in Poitiers, More information here.
Opening times: Saturday (09.00 - 18.00) / Sunday (09.00 - 16.30)
As mentioned above, your registration includes part of the weekend's meals, i.e. breakfasts (Saturday and Sunday) and a convivial meal together on Saturday evening.
The 2 lunches are at your own expense. A large fridge will be at your disposal to store your food during the weekend if necessary.
You can also go out to eat or go shopping if you need to, thanks to the many restaurants, fast-food and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity of the building.
WARNING: It is strictly forbidden to consume alcohol of any kind before the fights, including the meal break. So you'll have to wait until the evening to enjoy a little pick-me-up after a good day's fighting. We will be adamant on this point.
If you need a place to sleep, we'll put the room at your disposal, where you can lay out your mattresses and blankets for the night.
You will also be able to pitch your tents in the building's exterior, but they must be removed or moved before 9am in order to free up space for the activities.
